So let's get down and get funky with what we want to look at: I've always been a gamer. A media flunky. What do I have to say? Well let's get started with a bit of my history. The province' I have is (qualifications) after high school, I went to university and that was in 1977. Found a bulletin board and it had a listing called 'Wargaming'. Some would say that I went to the dark side... My first 'game' was Dungeon's and Dragons (Volume 1 -the tan box set) having just reading Trilogy, and the Hobbit. I was hooked. I had always loved drawing and painting. It didn't take long to go to find miniatures. (a local game store-algs) my first were knights (3 in 25mm) sadly I had no inkling of how to paint them i.e. enamel [Testors] crap I didn't even prime them, that's how noobie I was.
I was fortunate enough to have a good game master who was nice enough that taught me the fine points of DMing . So after a week long session, {seriously} we only stopped for food, bathroom breaks, and showers and more Pizza 130 hrs later he gave me his tan books. Last time I saw him he was going into the Army.
I kept the books, then I had gotten burned out on D&D and got into Traveller a SF RPG.
A friend and went to a Con in Cincinnati and then historic war gaming was the new bite. Found a group called 'Buzzkriegers' . Goodbye RPG's.
